From what I heard, Jackson was a pretty crazy guy.. kind of like a dictator. One of those things that you don't find the real stuff very easily.. kind of how Davy Crockett was really not a cool guy either, but most people see the movies and think he was this really great guy.

Yeah, I'll have to look more into what kind of guy he was, you never can be sure, there's been some creepy dudes in our past! The last history thing I read on Davy Crocket was that he led a bunch of people west, was a really good shot, and died at the Alamo, they really didn't mention anything else, he was a pretty short chapter! (^;

The key to living a victorious Christian life is to discover who you are in Christ. Many Christians have never discovered this. They remind me of the man who had an identity problem and an energy crisis at the same time. He didn’t know who he was and he was too tired to find out. God doesn’t work from the outside in. He works from the inside out. God doesn’t modify our behavior in order to change us. He changes us in order to modify our behavior. You’re never going to purify the water by painting the pump. That’s legalism and that’s a dead end to discovering who you are in Christ.
